Bragging Rights!
All sophomores wrote a mini saga (very short story) for the Young Writers "Hunted" contest. Each submission had to be original and follow the theme. Each student had the opportunity to submit their work online for the contest. 31 students were chosen to be published in Hunted - The Search Is On.
Young Writers chooses students based on the following:
"We read every entry that we receive and our editors decide which poems they would like to see published. We return unused work with feedback on how it can be improved. Our aim is to encourage young writers to enjoy reading and writing, so all entrants have a realistic chance of seeing their work in print. Writing is subjective so editors work to a selection criteria:"
- Creativity
- Imagination
- Use of language
- Originality
- Interpretation of theme (if applicable)
"Shout out to our Sophomore Class! Over 30 of our students’ mini sagas were chosen to be published. I am so proud of all their hard work and creativity!" - Jessica Maughn
