  • 13% OF THE TOTAL WORLD POPULATION IS BLACK

  • PROTEST: SOME TIMES VIOLENT AND RUTHLESS
  • DURING PROTEST THINGS WERE BURNT, BUILDINGS DESTROYED AND SHOOTS FIRED
  • MARTIN LUTHER KING DID NOT BELIEVE IN VIOLENCE. HE BELIEVED IN PEACEFUL NON-VIOLENT PROTEST. HE WALKED THE STREETS WITH SIGNS AND CHANTED "BLACK POWER, BLACK POWER"

EFFECTS OF THE PROTEST


  • THE BLACKS DID NOT NOT FEEL THAT THE PROTEST WERE ENOUGH. THEY FORMED GROUPS TO FIGHT BACK WHEN THE WHITES DID NOT LET THEM INTO PLACES OR TOOK THEM TO JAIL FOR PROTESTING

  • THE PROTEST HELPED DRAW ATTEND TO THE BLACK ISSUE

  • THE FIRES AND THE FIGHTING CREATED A DEEPER DIVIDE BETWEEN THE WHITES AND THE BLACKS.

  • THE KKK WAS FORMED OUT OF HATE FOR ANYTHING THAT IS NOT WHITE

  • THE KKK CAUSED THE GREATEST HARM TO THE MOVEMENT. THEY HUNG BLACK PEOPLE, BURNED CROSSES ON LAWNS AND CREATED CAMPS TO BRAIN WASH YOUNG WHITE CHILDREN INTO HATING BLACKS AND JEWS

  • THOSE WHO COULD FIGHT BACK JOINED THE MOVEMENT AND HELPED BLACK PEOPLE FIGHT AGAINST THE KKK
