"NUTS AND BOLTS" NOTES

SoUP and Sandwich

Save the date! Superintedent, Todd Bugnacki will be coming on Friday, Octber 23 from 11:10-12:45 for SoUP and Sandwich. At the Welcome Back event at the CPAC at the end of August, Todd announced that he will be doing this at each of the schools twice a year. This is an optional event and is casual in that people will drop in and out of the conversation based on their availability during this time period. Ann Weaver will be sending a sign-up sheet, so watch your email for that.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Thank you for your input regarding conferences. As always, there were differing opinions on going with the Monday or Tuesday. We are going to go with Thursday, November 19 and Monday, November 23. The time will be 4:00-8:00 both nights.

End of the Day Paws

At the end of the day, the office can be a little crazy and many times Brenda is the only staff member in there. There are often last minute going home changes and health room issues that Brenda has to attend to. Because of this, we resepctfully ask that any Paws given out after 3:00 be "redeemed" the next day. The student can bring them down the next morning. Thank you for your help with this!

SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK

Thorson celebrates CHS Homecoming with a visit from some special guests!

On Friday, Thorson students and staff showed pride in CSD by wearing orange and black in honor of CHS' Homecoming festivities. At morning drop-off, we were greeted by members of the CHS football team and Brutus - the CHS mascot. Thanks to CHS assistant principals Jodi Hackl and Dave Pentek for making this happen.
