Barrington Giving Day!
As we approach the season of giving, we often think about ways to help others. Barrington Middle School - Station Campus offers our students a way to help families within our school district who are in need, through Barrington Giving Day.
Barrington Giving Day is a community driven program designed to distribute needed items like coats, mittens, hats, toys, books and food for a holiday meal to needy district students and their families. Because Giving Day is held at BMS-Station Campus, staff and students have a long time investment in supporting this tradition. Funds raised by Station students and staff are designated for the purchase of gifts for middle school-aged children. For more information see: http://www.barringtongivingday.org/.
At Station, we encourage students to “Be a Part, by Taking Part”. Between now and December, there will be many ways in which students can volunteer and contribute to the fundraising efforts for Barrington Giving Day. Please encourage your child to listen for student announcements about upcoming fundraising events.
From October 3 through October 19, students will have the opportunity to donate items for themed baskets. Please help your child select an item and bring it to school to help with this community service during their Colt time. Please send the item, that your student signed up for, to his/her Colt Time teacher. If you have any questions concerning Barrington Giving Day at Station, please contact Jeanne Morgan at 847-756-6494.
Thank you for your support with this community effort.
