Administrative Message

Dear Parents,

We have recently received clarification on SB0107 53-9-210 110- (https://le.utah.gov/~2021/bills/static/SB0107.html) that was passed by our state legislature in the last session. Starting immediately, we are offering four days of instruction at UCAS. Contact the front office or your counselor and inform us of your intention to have your student participate in a four day per week schedule. If you choose to take advantage of this option please let the school know as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, April 16. This will help with accurate contact tracing and attendance records. The four day per week schedule will be for all classes on your schedule and the in-person attendance days will be Monday through Thursday. Once you have switched to a 4 day per week schedule you will be expected to remain on that schedule through the end of the school year. If you choose to stay on your current schedule, no action is required.

COVID Testing for Prom

Students planning to attend Prom are required to be tested for COVID prior to the dance. Free testing will be provided on the Provo campus on Thursday, April 15th from 4-5 pm, and on the Orem campus Friday, April 16th from 1-3 pm. Look for an update on our website to preregister for COVID testing. If you have preregistered for a different event you will not need to register again. Once students receive a negative result, they will be given a wristband to wear to the dance, to verify their testing.

Alternatively to testing, students who have been vaccinated can bring proof of vaccination. It must be two weeks past complete vaccination. If students have had COVID within the past 90 days, they can bring proof of a positive test. If this situation applies to you, please bring documentation to the front office.
