Wind Mobile

Sells the Samsung S5 for \$179 plus a plan of \$60 per month

C= Total Cost t=Time (Months)

C=60t+179

Telus

Sells the Samsung S5 for 100 plus a fee of \$70 per month

C= Total Cost t=Time (Months)

C=70t+100

What it means

The graph shows us that before the intersection point, the red line (Wind Mobile) was higher than the blue line (Telus). This means that if you are using the phone for less than 7.9 months then the Wind plan would be more expensive than the Telus plan. After 7.9 the blue line was higher than the red meaning that if you were to use that plan for more than 7.9 months then Telus would be more expensive. And if you were to use that plan for exactly 7.9 months then it would not matter what plan is better because the would end up at the same cost.

A Conclusion

If there was a choice to be made the better choice is plan A with Wind Mobile because most people keep their phone for about one year to 2 years and sometimes even longer so it doesn't make sense to really keep plan B because it would get much expensive after a while.
