LAST CHANCE.....CYO FALL SPORT REGISTRATIONS WILL CLOSE NEXT WEEK!

Grade school girls basketball (4th-8th) and HS volleyball (9th-12th) registration deadline AUGUST 19th

Registration for girls basketball and high school volleyball have a final registration deadline of Monday, August 19th. If your son or daughter is interested in playing one these CYO sports for Holy Name, then please register them now via the CYO website (see link/instructions below

Games for girls basketball will begin the week of September 22nd. There will not be any games held from October 4th-October 20th secondary to fall break. The season will finish mid-late November. This is a change from last years girls basketball season.


Please follow the instructions below to register your son or daughter for a fall sport.

Football Updates

Weigh-ins for all South Central players will be this Saturday at 10AM at the CYO Center (580 Stevens St). Players must attend.

Remember, all players must have a current physical on file, before they can practice or play!


CYO Athletic Physician Certificate

A CYO Athletic Physician’s Certificate is required for all CYO Participant’s. The current certificate must be kept on file at the parish. This must be done on a yearly basis for all CYO participants. High School participants are not required to have a physician’s certificate on file with the parish.

Holy Name Cross Country via St. Jude

Cross Country Registration for girls and boys grades 3-8 is still open. The information below is provided to us from St. Jude. If you have any questions related to Cross Country please follow the link below.

To register for cross-country, use the same link as for HN sports, then select ‘I need access to two schools’ option, select 'continue'

Follow the instructions on the CYO website on how to set your student up with a second school option. The school code for St. Jude is 189SJS-IN.

SouthSide Flag Football for K-2nd Graders

The St. Mark Athletic Committee is accepting flag football registrations for the 2019 season. Boys and girls entering grades K-2 are eligible to play for their Parish teams and the registration fee is $60. Register online at https://tshq.bluesombrero.com/default.aspx?tabid=2240807 . The deadline to register is August 16th and practices will begin the week of August 19th. The season runs August 31st to October 5th. Practices are normally once a week and are scheduled by the Coaches. Games are held on Saturday mornings at St. Mark's.

In years past, Holy Name has directly engaged a team in the above sports. However at times we may partner with another Parish/School teams if we are unable to meet the participation requirements at HN. This way we ensure that our members can compete in a chosen CYO sport. As we approach enrollment dates for these sports, we will update you on how you can register for these sports.

that Holy Name supports High School CYO Teams? If you have an interest in playing Volleyball or Basketball at a high school level, then you can sign up to play on Holy Name's CYO team. Watch the newsletters for more information.


Note from CYO: Due to the growing popularity of Boys High School Volleyball in the State of Indiana, beginning in September, 2019 the CYO will host a Boys High School Volleyball league in conjunction with the current CYO Girls High School Volleyball League.


Please know that the CYO guidelines must be followed. All participants must play for their parish of registration.

Holy Name participates in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) athletics. This program guides our children in their development of Christian values such as fair play, good sportsmanship, team work, honesty, respect, tolerance, gratitude and humility.


Our youth develop the values and character of Christ while participating in our sports offerings. CYO creates many of our sports schedules, manages player/coach participation requirements and sources locations and referees for our competitions.
