Inventor and Impact
The cotton gin was made in 1793 by Eli Whitney. This invention impacted peoples' lives by making it a more fast and easier way.
How Does it Work?
The cotton is pulled in by the machine. Then, the brushes in the machine would brush the lint out of the cotton. Next, the cotton will run through the spikes that ensure that the cotton seeds would not pass through. Finally, the cotton is layed out onto a pan as completed.
