Veteran’s Day Recognition | watch
Superintendent Dr. Kaczkowski shared that all schools held Veteran’s Day programs across the district. In addition, Hadley teacher Frank Tomaszkiewicz and Abraham Lincoln School parent Charlie Gadd attended the Board of Education meeting and were honored for their service. Thank you to all Veterans!

Election of Board Secretary | watch
Board President Bruno read a resignation by Board secretary Linda D’Ambrosio, Dr. Bruno then asked for nominations for Board secretary to replace Mrs. D’Ambrosio in this position. Dr. Bruno nominated Mrs. Buttimer. With no other nominations, Mrs. Buttimer was elected unaminously.

In honor of School Board Member’s Day, Superintendent Dr. Kaczkowski thanked all Board members for their service and presented them with framed student artwork in appreciation of their support of all students.

Celebration Video - Thank you Hadley Principals! In honor of National Principal Appreciation month, Superintendent Dr. Kaczkowski thanked Hadley principals for their dedication to students and staff. Click Here to view the video thanking Hadley administrators.
Immunization Report Superintendent Dr. Kaczkowski shared that every year the District must present a report about immunizations across the school district. The report is posted online.

- Academic Update | watch
Assistant Superintendent for Teaching, Learning and Accountability Dr. Katie McCluskey presented the Fall D41 Fall Academic Update including the MAP Insights Report, IAR Scores, summative designations, Illinois Science Assessment, Algebra I data, as well as district next steps. NWEA representative Autumn Desiderio attended the meeting and provided information about MAP specifically. Board members asked questions and engaged in discussion about the data presented related to student success. - 2019 Preliminary Levy Presentation | watch
Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations Eric DePorter presented the 2019 levy and shared that we will ask the Board to approve the posting of this preliminary levy later in the meeting. He presented a levy 101 presentation and went through the timeline of the levy process.

Superintendent Dr. Kaczkowski outlined the process to fill the Board vacancy and asked for Board direction on interviewing and scheduling special meetings. The plan is to swear in a new Board member once the process is complete.
