Panther PRIDE Weekly Update

Cimarron MS - September 29

From Behind The Desk

Hello Panther Nation!

Today we held our first Panther Grille of the year honoring our young scholars for their Positivity - Respect - Integrity - Diligence - Empathy. These are great moments to recognize them and highlight the good things seen in their lives. Our teachers highlight specific examples they see in our Panthers that embody our core traits. This is a small part of what our Panthers do; they also earn points from their teachers redeemable at Cimarron. Visit with your young scholar about their positive behavior rewards.

Fall Family Conferences will begin next Thursday in person on October 6th* and again on the 10th from 4:30p to 7:50p. No appointments are needed. We will have teachers available for a five to seven-minute conversation regarding your student's progress in class. Our teachers will be stationed around campus:

  • 6th Grade & Electives - Main Gymnasium
  • 7th Grade - Practice Gymnasium
  • 8th Grade - Panther Pit

Overflow parking with shuttle service to Cimarron will be available at the First Baptist Church just north of the school from 4:15p to 8:15p.

*from 5-6:30 pm we will have a parent volunteer to help with Spanish to English translation on October 6th.

Tomorrow is a spirit day at Cimarron! Wear your Panther swag or colors!

Our Panthers are winding down fall athletics. Tonight the Panthers take on the Central Tigers; let's go Panthers! If attending the game remember to cheer with class. Be sure to sit with your family or in the designated section at the north end zone for middle school students in the lower section.

NO CELL PHONE USE 7:10 AM - 2:20 PM

Please do NOT text or call your student on their personal phones during the day. Contact the Cimarron office at 405-340-2935 and the office staff will get a message to your student and have them return your call per your instruction. We appreciate your help in enforcing this EPS district policy.

ID BADGE IS REQUIRED EVERY DAY

Please remind your student to wear their ID badge and lanyard every day. Replacement badges are $5. Assist your student in placing their badge in a safe place each evening so their badge is ready to be worn at school.
  • 3 free prints per month, $1 for the 4th and 5th print
  • $5 replacement charge beyond the 5th print
  • At the beginning of each month, this process will be reset.

For the safety and civility of our campus, students and staff all wear school-issued IDs and lanyards.

A good recommendation is to place your ID in your backpack as you leave your last class of the day.
