From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

Term 3 is almost at an end and it has been a very busy term. Please note this is the final newsletter for the term, with next week being a short week.

Korean Day

Thank you to our Korean teacher Min Kang for a wonderful Korean Day. So much work and preparation goes into this day, where the students made Korean food, tried K-Pop Dancing, made Wadang ceramics and attempted paper folding spinners. Our congratulations to Florence and Tye who have been awarded the Encouragement Prize for the Artworks category in the Primary School division of the 2022 Korean Performance Contest.

School Audit

This week the school has completed its School Audit and Principal’s Review. Many

thanks to the staff, students and parents/carers who were involved.

Athletics Carnival

We have our Athletics Carnival tomorrow and we will keep our fingers crossed that the weather

holds out for us. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Mr Chatt for the preparation

and organisation of the carnival. I am sure that it will be a fantastic day.

Open Night

A big thank you to all of the families for attending our Open Night last week. It was an

outstanding success. The staff and students are to be thanked for their efforts in having

the classrooms look so amazing.

School Fees

A reminder to families that there are still some school fees outstanding. Please finalise prior

to the end of this term or advise the office of your payment plan for the remainder of the year,

if you have not already done so.

Colour Run

The Colour Run is very pleasant way for our students to finish the term. Many thanks to the Year 2 P&F Reps Gemma, Zoe and Carly for organising. I know that the students are very excited about the upcoming day. Also thank you to the parent volunteers who will provide help and supervision on the day.

The Year 3 and 5 classes had their NAPLAN results sent home this week. Please see the

classroom teachers if you have any questions.

End of Term

I will be away next week at a conference and Mr Yock will be in charge in my absence.

A reminder that students finish Term 3 on Wednesday September 21 and will commence

Term 4 on Tuesday Oct 11 and a reminder that there will be school photos on that day.

I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday and look forward to seeing everyone in back

in Term 4.

God Bless and keep safe.

P&F News

Hi Everyone,

I cannot believe we are nearly at the end of Term 3. What a huge term with so much going on.

Our basketball trial for 2022 has officially completed after today and I am happy to see that it has been a huge success. We are hoping to offer this again for 2023, so if you have any feedback, please let us know.

The P&F are pleased to be able to purchase a new water fountain (wheelchair accessible) for the school. It is due to your generosity that we are able to give back to the children the way we do, so thank you.

The countdown to colour run is on!! Thank you to Zoey Jensen, Carly Crowden, Gemma Bristow and the Year 2 families for their amazing efforts in getting this event ready. A MASSIVE amount of work has gone in to preparing for this day, we really do appreciate it. Don’t forget to sign your children up and get those white t-shirts ready for them to wear!

I can’t wait to see the children in action at the Colour Run.

Have a wonderful last week of Term 3.
