Review from Bryce Polhemus about Tuesdays with Morrie
Book Title: Tuesdays with Morrie
Author: Mitch Albom
Reviewer: Bryce Polhemus
Every time someone asks me what is my favorite book I always say, "Tuesdays with Morrie". In this book the reader feels like they are with Mitch Albom and Morrie the whole time, as the two both go over life and really analyze the do's and don'ts. At the time when I read this book, I was just itching to read the next chapter, Albom has the gift to grab the reader and and pull them into the story. That is why I could pick up this book and read it again, the author did an outstanding job crafting this book, this is a must read.
Quote about life and death.
"Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live". (82)- Morrie
The power to feel.
"You closed your eyes. That was the difference. Sometimes you cannot believe what you see, you have to believe what you feel. And if you are ever going to have people trust you, you must feel that you can trust them too- even when you are in the dark. Even if you're falling." (61)- Morrie
Youth to grown.
"As you grow old, you learn more. If you stayed at twenty-two, you'd always be as ignorant as you were at twenty-two. Aging is not just decay, you know. It's growth. It's more than the negative that you're going to die, its also the positive that you understand you're going to die, and that you live a better life because of it.'' (118)- Morrie
