TEAM Homework

I was not at school on Friday, because of a sick child. I am having the sub collect the check lists and I will tally them and send out a remind on Monday letting you know how many points they earned. If they earned their 100 points we will celebrate with free time on Monday, so they don't miss it because I was gone.

Math and Reading Homework

Thank you to everyone who remembered to return your math bag and reading envelope today. On Monday, there will be a new game for you and your child to play. Starting next week, your child's book will come home in a plastic envelope instead of the paper one. This should hold up better and be easier to keep track of.

Word Study

Also because I wasn't here we did not do a word study test. I did not want to leave it to the sub to do, because it was the first time. We will be doing a quiz this coming Friday. After talking with you as parents and because I want what is best for my students, we will be lowering the word count on their lists. We will gradually build in more words as the year progresses. I also sent the link this week for how to do word study homework. If you would like it again, please let me know.

Background Checks

If you would like to volunteer in my classroom, attend a field trip, be a part of WATCH D.O.G.S, or help out in the school workroom, we need you to fill out a background check. The forms take 10 days to process so the soon you can fill one out the better. Forms can be found in the school office, at the WATCH D.O.G.S kickoff, or just email me and I can send one home.

Picture Day! - Tuesday

Come with bright smiling faces! if you are planning on ordering pictures, please remember your picture envelop and money. Girls, if you are wanting to wear pretty shoes for picture day be sure to remember other shoes for PE and recess.
