Holicong Middle School
Updates From Mr. Bucher (Week of October 8)
Dr. Green Visits Holicong
Warm At Heart Coat Collection
For the past 19 years, a coat collection project called “Warm at Heart” has been happening in Central Bucks. This effort has been very successful. The “Warm at Heart” coat collection project makes it possible for all of our children to have a warm and healthier winter. We all know that it can be a financial burden to replace coats each year, so we hope that families in need of coats will take advantage of this opportunity.
This is how the program works. Please bring clean, gently used coats to Holicong Middle School, labeled “Warm at Heart” from Monday, October 15th through Wednesday, October 31, 2012. To conceal previous ownership, please be certain to remove your child’s name from the coat. A limited number of new ski jackets, in children’s sizes 4-20, will also be available.
Families in need may select one coat of their choice for each member of the household. Please bring this newsletter with you.
The coats will be available to Central Bucks School District families, for selection at Lenape Middle School, Wednesday, November 7, 2012, between 4:00PM and 6:00PM. Mrs. Radice, Holicong’s Certified School Nurse, along with other Central Bucks Certified School Nurses and staff, will be present for any assistance needed. Everything will be kept confidential. After November 7th, the remaining coats will be sent to other schools and agencies in the Bucks County and Philadelphia areas.
