Socktober Success!
To celebrate this successful collection, we celebrated with a CRAZY SOCK day! We had cotton candy and crayon socks, polka dots, striped and crazy crocs! Crazy socks were even found in pony tails! It was a great day!
Picture Day Retakes
*Side note...November 1st is also Sports Jersey Day. Picture day attire is more important. Students can bring a jersey to put on after their photo retake if they wish.
Welcome Ms. Cullen!
My name is Annie Cullen. I graduated from Fordham University at Lincoln Center with a BFA in visual arts and ever since then I have been active in both the arts and in teaching. After completing my studies at Lincoln Center, I moved to Boston where I undertook a museum studies program at Harvard University. I have had the pleasure of working with kindergarten through twelfth graders at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, as a museum educator. I have earned my Masters in childhood education and my early childhood education degree at Hunter College. I have spent my career teaching in elementary schools and art studios both in New York City and New Jersey. My family and I moved to New Jersey a few years ago. I live with my husband Bryan and my nine year old son Brody. As a family, we love to read, listen to music and visit aquariums! I also love going to the beach with my family and enjoying the sunshine.
Halloween Information
Students are invited to wear their costumes to school on Monday, October 31st! We are hoping for sunny skies so students can parade outside in their costumes at 2:15! We are unable to hold the parade indoors due to space limitations. If it's drizzling just a bit, please bring an umbrella:) We are going to try our best to have the parade.
Orange cones will line the parade route. We will be exiting the Kindergarten door near the turtle statue, parading up the sidewalk, past the front doors of our school, across the blacktop, in through the library doors and around for loop 2!
All parents are invited to attend and enjoy the costumes!
In the event of rain, I will send an email if we need to cancel the parade.
To ensure a safe and productive school day, please adhere to the following guidelines:
Please be sure your child’s costume fits properly and is not too long.
Please leave fake weapons or props that accompany the costume at home, as they may not be appropriate for our school environment.
The costume you wear must allow you to sit, stand or move around the classroom without difficulty.
Costumes should be appropriate and not offensive to others.
We are looking forward to a fun Halloween!
