Cougar Pulse
November 2021
Dear Families,
In the blink of an eye, the first quarter of the 21-22 school year has ended! It has definitely been a flash since students started walking though our doors at the beginning of September, but while the excitement of back to school may have worn off, the hard work of learning and working together is setting in at The Creek. One of the things we always pride ourselves on is our atmosphere of support and care for one another...we're a family, through good times and tough, we're there for each other. We've seen our share of challenges the past two months. Most of you have been impacted by the pandemic in various ways of late; maybe you've had your kids in quarantine and completing their learning from home; your child may have had a bus route or two canceled; you've had to miss work; you've had to comfort sick family or friends. Likewise, our school is impacted daily. Staff have become experts at adaptability and wearing many different hats in a given week. Through everything, our focus on taking care of and looking out for each other is what keeps us coming back and working hard everyday. We appreciate each and everyone of our families for doing the same and supporting us through the adversity the fall has thrown your way. We hope you feel that support reciprocated. The other benefit of family is that we get to celebrate the good stuff together, too, and we have a lot to share! Below you'll see names of our September Students of the Month (October coming soon!); we kicked off November with Spirit Week and our first school assemblies are just around the corner; students are earning Cougar Slips and Tokens for awesome behavior and having celebrations with their classes; our Kindergartners and first graders had their first field trip; Art projects are gracing the halls, and the sounds of aspiring musicians filling the air!...Lots to be proud of and thankful for, and thankfulness is our citizenship focus this month.
