Back Up Mac Address Book
Exporting your Mac Address Book
For those of you that use your Mac Address Book to save information, you will need to export your address book and then import it to your new Mac. It is always a good idea to export a file such as this from time to time to have a back up copy.
Open your Mac Address Book from the Dock.
Click File then Export --- Address Book Archive.
Save the .abbu file to your desktop and then move to an external drive or to your Google Drive for storage.
You can upload this file to your Google Drive or store it on your external drive. When you get your new computer you will simply go to Address book and click import. Locate this file and it will import to your new computer.
