Mrs. Green's Class Newsletter
Room 203
HI PARENTS,
Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed the nice, long break. We are back into the swing of things, and had a busy week! On Tuesday, Mrs. Able showed a video in the auditorium to remind us of our hallway expectations. The students enjoyed watching many of our teachers act out "What NOT to do" and "What TO do." It was a fun video and great reminder for the new year!
Before break we had a wonderful holiday party. The students enjoyed making holiday cards, eating cookies, and playing BINGO. A special thank you to Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Russell, Mrs. Kenny, and Mrs. Jang for planning the party and making it such a success. Be sure to check out the photos below.
Thanks,
Mrs. Green and Ms. Ruiz

Social Studies
In Social Studies, we started learning about Westward Expansion. We read about the Louisiana Purchase and learned why it was the greatest land deal in U.S. history. We also watched a video on Lewis and Clark. Students were then assigned an event that contributed to the expansion of the United States. They are researching their event in groups and creating a slideshow presentation to share with the class.
Government tests came home in Friday Folders. They do not need to be returned, but please take a minute to review it with your child.
