Camp Diablo View
Please read this carefully as the schedule and events are specific to your teen's grade level.
Eighth Grade Students can come any time between 8:30 and 10. This is a modified Drive Through event. Please drop your child off at the front drive through and then proceed directly to the Marsh Creek Lot to pick them up. (Just like picture day last year.) When your child gets out of the car, he/she will proceed directly to the 800 wing to take their picture and pick up their books. They will come out of the back door of the 800 wing where you will pick them up. This appointment shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.
Sixth Grade Students should be dropped off at the front of school at 10:00 am and picked up promptly at 11:45 at the front of school. There will also be a . At this event, your student will get a tour of their classes, learn a little bit about what it means to be a DVMS Bobcat, take their picture, receive their books and eat lunch and socialize with other 6th graders.
There is a short parent meeting in the Multi Use Room for all of our new and incoming 6th grade families from 10-11am. This will be a short meet and greet with administration along with a presentation on how you can stay involved at school.
Seventh Grade Students can come any time between 12:15 and 2. This is a modified Drive Through event. Please drop your child off at the front drive through and then proceed directly to the Marsh Creek Lot to pick them up. (Just like picture day last year.) When your child gets out of the car, he/she will proceed directly to the 700 wing to take their picture and pick up their books. They will come out of the back door of the 700 wing where you will pick them up. This appointment shouldn't take more than 5 minutes
We will have a make-up picture day during the first weeks of school and students who cannot make it will be able to get their books when they come to school. Schedules will be given to students at Camp Diablo View and will also be released via HomeLink (Aeries) prior to school starting. We will send a text reminder when the information is made available online.
IMPORTANT - Residency Verification for Incoming Students Only
As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year it is important that we have accurate records for enrollment.
We ask that you scan and send by email your documents for residency verification to Karen Gunter, Office Manager at gunterk@mdusd.org. Please include your students name and birthdate in the email and only send the documents that are in the categories below. In order for your student to receive their schedule for the 2022-2023 school year, address verification must be done before Monday, August 1, 2022.
Residency Verification
Residency Verification is required for all incoming 6th grade students and 7th and 8th grade students that are new to Diablo View Middle School.
Verification by items from both categories below are required:
- Current picture ID of parent/guardian: driver’s license, state issued ID, passport, consulate issued picture ID, voter credential, or military ID.
- Two of the following:
- current valid vehicle registration
- State or Federal tax return filed within the last 12 months with W-2 form(s) attached. Business returns DO NOT meet residency requirements
- current voter registration receipt
- other forms of identification or communication from a government agency
- property tax bill with parent name and property address indicating home owner's exemption
- lease/rental agreement (including property address, names of occupants, name and phone number of owner/manager)
- payroll stubs or payroll check with current address
All documents submitted must be originals not copies.
Utility (PG&E, water, etc.) P.O. Box, telephone bills, or deeds are NOT VALID residency verification documents and WILL NOT be accepted.
