Good Afternoon Muraski Families,

I know this information is a week late, but I wanted to give everyone the chance to get away from school and start soaking up the summer. Although it was another year of unexpected changes, necessary adjustments, and problem-solving, it was also a year with a whole lot of learning, incredible memory making, and fun. The staff at Muraski thanks you for an amazing and successful school year. We will see you back in school in August.

We often have parents reach out to us asking for ideas to keep learning going over the summer. In addition to reading some great books this summer, another great way for your child(ren) to keep their learning going is to write. Free writing is a wonderful way to build literacy for our students, but sometimes it's tough to think about what to write.

Below, our wonderful Literacy Coach, Monica Cooney, put together daily writing calendars for writing ideas for your children. The first set is for students in K-2 and the second set is for students in 3-5.

I'd love to see the students' writing over the summer, so please, if they are going to write on some of the prompts, have them share them with Mrs. Hawk and I.
