WAPT Score Reporting for SY2015-2016
For the PKST, you will submit the raw score from the assessment.
For the K-WAPT, you will submit the combined raw score for the Listening/Speaking test and single raw scores for the Reading and Writing tests. Please remember that in the fall semester, Kindergarteners take the Listening/Speaking assessment and first graders will take the Listening/Speaking assessment and the Reading and Writing assessments. In the spring semester, Kindergarteners will take all four assessments (L/S/R/W) and first graders will take the WAPT.
For the WAPT, please complete the WAPT Score Calculator and enter those scores, including the grade adjusted literacy and overall scores, in the WAPT Score Reporting Form.
The K-WAPT and WAPT are secured test materials and cannot be posted online. If you need electronic files of the K-WAPT or WAPT, please contact your ELD Coordinator.
Translated ACCESS for ELLs Parent Score Reports
Access to the translated reports will be given to only one team member per school. If there are multiple team members at a school, please coordinate among your team to determine who will contact MetriTech.
Your window to access the translated Parent Score Reports will only be open for two weeks from the day you receive the login information. If additional time is required, please contact Laura Grisso. The deadline to send parent notification letters and ACCESS for ELLs Parent Score Reports from the Spring 2015 test administration is October 1, 2015.
U.S. Department of Education Joins Key Partners to Release Parent Checklist to Help Children Thrive at School
As America’s 54 million students prepare to return to school this fall, the U.S. Department of Education, America Achieves, National Council of La Raza (NCLR), National PTA and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) released a parent checklist (Spanish) on July 17 with questions and resources that parents and caregivers can use to help ensure their children are getting the education they deserve. The checklist suggests key questions, tips for educational success and resources for more information.
The checklist follows a “set of rights” (Spanish) the Department recently released outlining what families should be able to expect for their children's education. The checklist and the “set of rights” build on the Education Department’s work to reach out to parents—from tools to help families and students select the best colleges for their needs to support of Parent Training and Information Centers and Resource Centers. For more information and resources for parents visit the Department’s Family and Community Engagement page.
Take the #ipledge5 Promise/Tome el #YoPrometo5 Compromiso
Tulsa Public Schools and Stand for Children Oklahoma are partnering to combat a primary barrier to student achievement in elementary school and to increase the number of TPS students who are career and college ready upon high school graduation: chronic absenteeism. Launched today, the #ipledge5 parent promise campaign, which includes an ipledge5.org website, aims to increase grade-level reading and increase graduation rates. The pledge encourages Tulsa parents to promise to help "my child stay on track to a bright future" this school year by taking actions that are proven to lead to student success.
