Unit 6 Overview
Applying Your Academic Writing Skills
Looking Back...
Welcome to Unit 6! Thanks for working diligently to create a strong thesis for your Academic Essay. If you are having any trouble with limiting your topic, creating a thesis, or outlining your ideas, please let me know. Keep in mind what we said in Unit 5 seminar about starting with a specific and relevant Research Question and that will help you to make sure your topic and thesis are as strong as possible. Also, remember how valuable working with the Writing Center tutors can be. Even if you have only 15 spare minutes, if you spend them talking with a Writing Center tutor, those 15 minutes might very well help you to work through problems with the writing process you may be experiencing.
