Ms. Newton's Notes
Happy Monday!
We are looking forward to seeing everyone out for Curriculum Night this week. This is a time for parents to be able to speak with the teachers. We ask that students not attend this event.
Pre-curriculum night meetings for families interested in information about our Early Intervention Program (EIP) and families of students who are currently receive gifted services will occur at 5:15 PM. The EIP information session will be in the cafeteria. The gifted information session will be in the Falcon's Nest.
5th grade is tomorrow night and 3rd and 4th grades are both Wednesday night. We will begin each night at 6:00 PM in the multipurpose room with an opening and teacher introductions. From there, parents will be dismissed to classrooms to hear from the teachers about beginning of the year successes, plans for moving forward and answers to burning questions. At 7:00, we will call for parents to be dismissed from classrooms to also meet our specials and support teachers before ending the night.
Parking is limited. Families may park along Oakview in the bus lane both nights. There is limited space also available in the bottom parking lot of Friendship Baptist Church. Do not use the top parking that is closest to the front of the church because they also have events happening as well each night. Lastly, please be courteous to our neighbors and avoid blocking their driveways.
PTO and Orchestra information will be available in the cafeteria each night after classroom visits.
SLT elections will be held August 20th and 21st from 7:30 AM through the end of Curriculum Night. Please stop by the front desk to cast your vote. Learn more about our candidates here.

LOST & FOUND
Lost & Found at F.AVE is located on the mezzanine by the Multi-Purpose Room (gym). Clothing, recess items and water bottles will be cleared out & donated every two weeks, but lunchboxes will be thrown out every week. This is to reduce the possibility of insects and the general build up of items. Please have your child check the lost & found immediately upon misplacing something. You are welcome to come before or after school to check for items.
