Prohibition in the US

By Steven Norris

The Volstead act

This act banned any and all beverage that contained over 0.5% alcohol. This led to the formation of the speakeasy across the U.S.

Speakeasies are illegal liquor stores that hid in regular stores and business.

Al Capone

Al Capone is a famous Mafia boss who supplied liquor to Speakeasies. Owners of speakeasies were often in gangs or affiliated with them.
