Dear Winter Park Band families,
Bravo to the students who performed as a part of The Addams Family this weekend! It was a wonderful production and would not have been as successful without all of the hard work and musicianship that everyone put into the performances. Congratulations!
TRUNK-R-TREAT - Our annual Trunk-r-Treat will take place after rehearsal in the D-Lot parking lot on Tuesday, October 29. All parents are invited to park next to our D-Lot rehearsal space after marching band rehearsal, decorate their trunks and pass out candy for the students. The students will be able to dress in costume for marching band rehearsal that afternoon - be creative (as long as you can still rehearse in costume)!
The big week for the "Sound of the Wildcats" is here! An itinerary for Marching Band MPA on Saturday, November 2 can be found in your email. It was sent out Sunday, 10/13. Please also make note of our Friday Marching Band Rehearsal on 11/1. This is our final rehearsal before Marching Band MPA.

BAND BOOSTER PRESIDENT MESSAGE
Week of October 27, 2019
Thank you to all of the chaperones and OPS volunteers for our last regular season game of the year and to all of those who shared their Friday evenings with the band program this year! We could not have a successful band program without you, and we appreciate your time and dedication to the program and the students. Please see below-it’s a fun and busy week!
- Saturday is MPA! There are still spots to chaperone, for OPS, and to help with lunch (10:15-11:30 am on Saturday) before the students leave. [If the band website is still down, you can access Charms just by going to charmsoffice.com and logging in with winterparkhsband in the parent section]
- UNIFORM WASHING HELP NEEDED THIS WEEK: (pick up Tuesday during rehearsal, drop off Friday during rehearsal)- please contact Mary Bernard directly if you can help at lombernard@gmail.com. It is VERY easy, and extremely rewarding to help get the uniforms looking (and smelling) their best in time for MPA!

Viewing your Student's Financial Account in Charms:
There is a direct link to Charms in "Quick Links" on the band website.
- Our school code is winterparkhsband
- The Student Area Password would be a unique password that either the student or parent have set up. (If you don't know the password it can be reset by one of the band directors).
- Once you have logged into the Student Area, click on the round, red $ symbol on the top menu bar to view your student's account
- If your student has earned Band Account Credit (in the Miscellaneous Ledger) this credit can be transferred to pay for many band fees: Fair Share, School Instrument Maintenance, Registration Fees for All-State, All-County and Solo Ensemble.
Requesting a Credit Transfer to pay for Fixed Payments Due:
- Click on the "Transfer Request" tab just below the round, red $ symbol. Select the fixed payment you would like to pay for using the credit. The request is sent to the band directors and the band booster treasurer.
- SENIORS: Please check your credit balance and use it accordingly during the year. Credit for Seniors left at the end of the year can only be transferred to siblings.
FUNDRAISERS ONGOING
Butter Braid order forms were sent home with students this past Wednesday. Orders are due with the order form and payment(cash, check made out to WPHS band or school pay) by 5 PM this Friday October 25th. Remember, your band student benefits directly from each Butter braid sold! If you have any questions feel free to contact me at Ribaric.ramily@gmail.com.
