4th Grade Cougar Newsletter

Cougars on an adventure!

Meet the teacher

Hello,

My name is Neyra Hanley, I am a graduate from the University of Houston. I am glad to be your child's teacher and part of the fourth grade team for the 2014-2015 school year. I love to volunteer at the Houston Food Bank and Avenue CDC after school learning program. This year will be my first year teaching and I am very excited to embark on the adventures that lie ahead. 4th graders are adventurous, curious, and concrete learners. I can't wait to inspire and enrich their mind with everyday information.

  • In the next couple of weeks your child will be taking a math and reading test on the computer. These tests will let us know at what level your child is in math and reading comprehension. Please make sure your child is getting enough sleep and eating a good healthy breakfast.
  • Please make sure your child is reading and doing his homework every night. This is key to academic success.

Again thank you for all you do!
