Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast

A Message from the Director
Parents and students,
Thank you to all of the parents/guardians that attended our Parent Night this past Monday evening. We presented CA plans to involve all parents/guardians in our new organization Phoenix Family! I am challenging every parent/guardian to volunteer 2 hours every year for four years to support student success. On Tuesday, April 30, from 6pm - 7:30pm we will meet to establish our new parent support organization. We would love for you to attend. Dinner and childcare will be provided. If you can't attend, don't worry there are many other ways to get involved. Please take the Parent Survey and let us know where you might want to serve.
Important Reminder: Collegiate Academy is in session Monday, April 22. Please be sure your students are in attendance!!
PhoenixON!

Scholarships for College-Bound, High School Seniors
A great source of scholarship money for families looking for college funds may be their own employer(s). Many companies offer scholarships for their employees or their children, but it may not be common knowledge. It pays, literally and figuratively, for parents to take the time and ask their human resources liaison if such scholarships exist. This is especially true if you work for a larger corporation or a more established company.
Once the graduating senior has been accepted at a particular college, they need to meet with a financial aid officer at the school to find out what scholarship resources the school may have to offer for a shortfall in college money. Often, schools can cover some of the remaining cost or recommend the student for a scholarship.
