What is Happening at iMiddle this week?
As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, Jan. 18th to observe the Martin Luther King Holiday.
This week our 8th graders will be checking out Madison High School at Picture Yourself at Madison on December 12th. Parents are welcome to attend and you should have signed and returned your permission slip to the school. Students without permission slips will be unable to attend. We will also have an assembly with Madison this week with the Madison Counselors who will present 4 years plans and other important High School information.
Our Next Family Dinner Night Out is scheduled for Jan. 27th at Chipotle.
Make dinner a selfless act by joining us for a fundraiser to support the Innovation Middle Foundation. Come in to the Chipotle at 7081 Clairmont Mesa Blvd in San Diego on Wednesday, January 27th between 3:00pm and 7:00pm. Fliers will be sent home soon with your child and the proceeds will be donated to the Innovation Middle Parent Foundation.
Join the district in a community event called: Investing in California’s Future Part II: What it means for our Students, our Community. San Diego’s Regional Economy Town Hall Meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan 19th at the SD Central Library. All are welcome to attend. RSVP in the link provided.

Please check the iMiddle calendar on our webpage at iMiddle.org for all events. The first semester will be coming to an end soon and we will be encouraging students to put in extra time and effort to achieve their goals if they have not achieved them yet.

School Site Council
School Site Councils (SSC) provide oversight of the academic planning and budgeting process associated with the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) in order to meet the needs of all students. SSCs provide meaningful consultation with the principal to oversee the implementation, monitoring, and revision of the SPSA, including reviewing and analyzing data; consulting with advisory groups; evaluating programs and activities; and allocating the expenditure of funds available to the school through categorical programs.
SSC Meetings will be held the third Monday of every month starting at 4:15 PM in the Library. Please plan on showing up if you want to be involved with the SSC. The next meeting is December 19th at 4:15 in the school Library.
