Team PTSA!

Come join the team! Through PTSA we will provide opportunities, and support resources available at our school, and provide a more enriching experience for all students, parents, community members, faculty and staff. Dues are only $8 per person this year! This is an amazing opportunity to support the school. The TCHS PTSA host different events throughout the year, and have excellent scholarship opportunities at the end of the year! We need parents to serve on our PTSA! We need ALL TCHS parents to help our school flourish. Email our principal at lakest@fultonschools.org if you are interested in serving on our PTSA executive board. Don't forget we will have our first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 4th at 6:30pm in the TCHS Media Center.

Caffeinated or Decaf?

Come out to the TCHS Parent Resource Office on Thursday, September 13th at 9 am for Coffee and Conversation with our very own Principal, Mrs. McCrary-Lakes! This will be our first C & C of the year. Have a question you would like to ask about the school? Academics? Policies? Just want to say Hi or introduce yourself? This will be the best day to do so and get a free cup of Joe to start your day! New Calendar Reminder...

Superintendent Jeff Rose this month recommended a change to the district’s 2018-2019 School Year Calendar. At its August meeting, the Fulton County Board of Education voted to approve that recommendation.

This school year, November 6, 2018 has been changed from a regular school day, to a teacher work day. March 8, 2019 has been changed from a teacher work day, to a regular school day.

The decision alleviates safety concerns raised by some parents and staff, allows for additional staff training on safety protocols, and maintains instructional time for our students. Additionally, the Fulton County school board has expressed interest in addressing a long-term solution through the legislative process.

TCHS Annual Title I Parent Meeting

Tuesday, Sep. 25th, 5pm

2575 Harris Street

East Point, GA

Every year Title I and Tri-Cities High School invites ALL parents, students, teachers, staff, and community stakeholders to become partners with our Title I Family Engagement program. The purpose of the Title I annual parent meeting is to provide information about the Title I program and learn about opportunities to be involved in your child’s education.

We invite and encourage you to join us to learn more about this federal program in our school!

One Final Message...

Greetings Fulton County Schools’ Families,

Our new school year is off to a great start and we look forward to a successful 2018-2019 school year!

You might recall that you were sent a communication during the first week of August that contained a link to the 2018-2019 handbook as well as instructions on how to electronically sign the Acknowledgement of Receipt. We have recently learned that the handbook referenced was an incomplete version. As a result, please see the below link for the completed version of our Student Code of Conduct Handbook, a version that contains some additional content.

You do not need to provide another electronic signature and acknowledgement of receipt if you have already done so but if you haven’t completed this step, we ask that you do so at this time by following the directions and links below.

The electronic signature and acknowledgment of receipt process involves you completing two simple steps 1) Review the Student Code of Conduct and 2) Completing and submitting the Acknowledgement of Electronic Receipt. Here is how you complete these two steps:

  1. Please review and save the 2018-2019 Student Code of Conduct & Discipline Handbook at: http://www.fultonschools.org/en/divisions/acd/supportserv/Pages/StudentDiscipline.aspx
  2. Please click the link below to review and submit the required Acknowledgement of Electronic Receipt Form. After review of the Acknowledgement of Electronic Receipt, please complete the electronic form and submit it.
  3. English Handbook: https://www3.fultonschools.org/codeconduct
  4. Spanish Handbook: https://www3.fultonschools.org/codeconduct/home/indexspa

It is important that you review and discuss the content in the 2018-2019 Student Code of Conduct with your child(ren). Teachers also reviewed the Code of Conduct with students at the beginning of the school year. While we encourage you to acknowledge receipt electronically, you may obtain a hardcopy of the Receipt form and the Student Code of Conduct from either your school or by contacting our office.

We wish all of you and your students an amazing 2018-2019 school year!

Thank you,

The Office of Student Discipline and Prevention
