Dear Parents,

Great news... This year we raised a record amount of money during Walk-Through Registration! Your contributions to our school and our PTSA nearly doubled what we raised last year! Your donations are so appreciated and make such a difference during this period of district-wide budget cuts. At upcoming PTSA and Site Council meetings, I will be releasing more data about how much was raised, what it will be spent on, and how our budget looks for this school year. Please join us at these meetings - your input and participation is critical for us to be successful as a school!

Finally, if you still would like to make a donation to the school, or purchase a yearbook, ASB ID card, or PE uniform, please visit our webstore below. Despite our great fundraising numbers thus far, we still need more funding from all families for items like Chromebooks, basketballs, lab equipment, desks, printers, paper, and other school supplies. Thank you for your support!

Principal, Pine Hollow Middle School

Minimum Day Tomorrow

Tomorrow, September 13th is the last day of the 1st Quarter Progress Period. It is also a Minimum Day for Pine Hollow with an early release at 11:43am. Please click here to view this year's full Minimum Day schedule.

Two Parents Needed for Site Council

We need two parents to join our School Site Council (SSC)! Our Site Council meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 3:00-4:30pm and works on our Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), the budget that supports the SPSA, and other school-wide issues. The Site Council is made up of students, parents, and staff and is a critical component of our school community. Get more info here about SSC and contact Ben Campopiano if you are interested in joining!

Dine & Donate Tonight

Our first Dine & Donate of the year was yesterday and today! Please visit Carl's Jr. in Clayton today to support Pine Hollow. 25% of all sales come right back to our school! Show the flier below when you visit.

This year Pine Hollow is implementing PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) to improve social, emotional, and academic outcomes for all students. Research shows that when a school environment is positive and predictable, students feel safer, have better academic performance, higher test results and make better behavior choices.

Students will gain points for positive behaviors, and can accumulate and then "spend" these points at Pine Hollow's PBIS PRIDE store. We are looking for donations that we can put in our PBIS store to "sell" to students. Donations can be labeled PBIS and dropped off at the front office. Please consider donating to our PBIS store... the following are some suggestions of what we are looking for:

  • School supplies
  • Purses
  • Backpacks
  • Makeup
  • Bobbleheads
  • Lanyards
  • Shirts
  • Snacks
  • Posters
  • Books
  • Etc
