The Hall Way...
Hello Warhawks!
What a week! Our students and staff did an amazing job navigating the change during our first week of the full day schedule. With any switch in schedule that we have had over the last year, we all have to work together to navigate the change. Our teachers and students are trying different things to collaborate and support students in the classroom and remotely. We appreciate their hard work and we all should be proud of our school community for adapting and working together!
Please never hesitate to ask for help. Our teachers, social workers, nurse, staff, and administration are here to help. Give our office a call at 815-338-4900 and we will get you connected. Warhawks take care of each other and we are here to work together and support each other.
Have a GROOVY week, Warhawks!

Drop Off/Pick Up for In-Person Group
Please remind your students that they can exit or enter your vehicle once it is stopped in the school parking lot only. This helps with the flow and keeps our students safe.
If we continue to have the same flow, we will use the turn around at Mary Endres during pick up in the afternoon. Given traffic flow with Route 47, we may need to use it in the morning drop-off as well. We appreciate you working with us to make the process as safe and efficient as possible for everyone.
Doors Open at 8:15 am
8th Grade Promotion - Save the Date
We will share more specific details for promotion as soon as everything is finalized, but here are some general details:
- A portion of our normal ceremony will take place digitally. This includes awards and other student recognition.
- The in-person ceremony will be approximately 30 minutes.
- The in-person ceremony will take place in groups to allow for parents to attend and still maintain safety procedures.
- We will have four different time slots where students will be broken into groups to be recognized. The time slots will be assigned and cannot be changed.
- Audience size will be limited by the distribution of tickets. Tickets cannot be exchanged with other families.
We are looking forward to celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of the Northwood Class of 2021!
