Teamwork
I like the following quote by Henry Ford:
"Coming together is a beginning. Staying together is progress. Working together is success."
We have had a great beginning coming together as a team in August at HelmZar. We have made progress with our students by staying the course and supporting one another through this year. We are now spending more time working together through Data Driven Instruction (DDI), collecting data for FBAs and writing behavior plans to support our tier 3 students. When we can work together, together we will support our students' success.
Each day we will have the opportunity to demonstrate our value, "Team". Let's all make the extra effort to work together for the success of our students.

- We will be taking a staff field trip Monday, Mar. 6 for our faculty meeting time. We will travel to the Food Bank to participate in some team time together as we assist the Food Bank in making bowls for their annual "Empty Bowl" fundraiser. They have done so much for our school this year! We will be at the Food Bank from 3:15-4:15p.m. unless you're having too much fun to leave! Please plan on being in the lobby of the Food Bank at 3:10p.m.
- Parent Teacher conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, Mar. 7 & Thursday, Mar. 9 from 3:15 - 6:30p.m. You may meet with parents at times other than these nights to have 100% participation. We are using the same Four Square template used in the fall. Four square templates are due to Ms. Jackson by Monday, 6 at 3:00p.m. before leaving for the Food Bank. Please also attach Tuesday/Thursday's P/T conference schedule listing the times that you plan to meet with ALL of your students' families. All students on a RSA folder (purple folder) should be reviewed during conferences and a signature must be obtained from the guardian. This would be a good time to get FBAs signed for students that you would like to collect data for. Please ask Teresa Johnson, Ms. Panetta or Mrs. Gilstrap if you have additional questions.
- Next Thursday, Caitlyn from Liveschool will be visiting Penn during PLC time. You will not need to turn in student work next week due to Liveschool's visit.
The families that attended Penn night at the Tulsa Air & Space museum had a great time. We were paid the highest compliment by the Executive Director who said that we were absolutely THE BEST group who has ever come for this event!
Penn's basketball team is now undefeated!
