Manufacturing Day Summit

Split Day Event Friday, September 30th - 8:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

We have created an opportunity for students in grades 9-12 to tour the Jamestown Community College Jamestown Campus. The tour will include an inside look at the newly renovated Manufacturing Technology Institute, Science Center, and residence hall, as well as technology and manufacturing exhibitors from Allen Industrial Sales & Cummins JEP. Attendees will also hear from Key Note Speaker Vince Horrigan, Chautauqua County Executive, an Edge Factor video presentation, and a local manufacturing panel.

Lunch and t-shirts will be provided for participating students along with Manufacturing Day information bags.

This event is closed after 300 students register. To register for this event, please see event agenda below. When registering make sure to note either group A or B.

Manufacturing Day Tours

Friday, October 7th, Dream It Do It is coordinating tours showcasing local manufacturing companies in Chautauqua County for students in grades 8-12. Manufacturing Day is a nationally recognized event designed to expand knowledge about and perceptions of manufacturing careers and its value to our economy. Thanks to the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, this will be our best Manufacturing Day yet!

This event has two sessions with overlapping programming. Group A will arrive at 8:45 and Group B will arrive at 10:15. When registering for this event make sure to note either group A or B.

Group A (8:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) -Approx. 150 students

  1. 8:45-9:00 Schools arrive and split into groups
  2. 9:00-9:25 Session 1
  3. 9:30-9:55 Session 2
  4. 10:00-10:25 Session 3
  5. 10:30-10:55 Session 4
  6. 11:00-Noon Key Note/Edge Factor/MFG Day Panel
  7. Noon-12:30 Lunch
  8. 12:30-12:45 Board Busses/Depart Campus

Group B (10:15 a.m.-2:15 p.m.) -Approx. 150 students

  1. 10:15-10:30 Schools arrive and are served lunch
  2. 10:30-10:50 Lunch
  3. 11:00-Noon Key Note/Edge Factor/MFG Day Panel
  4. 12:05-12:30 Split into groups & Session 1 Begins
  5. 12:35-1:00 Session 2
  6. 1:05-1:30 Session 3
  7. 1:35-2:00 Session 4
  8. 2:00-2:15 Board Busses/Depart Campus
