Message from the Principal
Hello Wildcat Families-
I hope you've been enjoying this awesome weather. Pretty special for mid-April in the Pacific Northwest!
I want to put a couple of things on your radar as we move into May. Although it may be a little disruptive, we plan to do several end of year assessments with students. Acadience (reading testing) and iReady (reading and math testing) will be happening in the middle of next month, both on-site and with students in online classes. We will also be offering a state testing opportunity for grades 3-5 in June. This will be optional and will happen toward the end of school but please look for more info in the coming weeks.
All of these assessments will help us learn more about your student's skills and how we can support them moving forward. For 5th grade families, we will use the data in our transition meetings with Fowler teachers and counselors.
Lastly, I want to acknowledge the sadness, anger and confusion that some of our students brought into CFT this week after the shooting of Daunte Wright in Minneapolis. Our morning meetings continue to be a place where students can discuss these types of events and we are learning as a staff how to be responsive to all student needs in such a complicated world.
Please know that if your child needs support or the opportunity to process difficult things, we have resources and will do everything we can to partner with you. Contacting your child's teacher, our office or our counselor is the best place to start.
Thank you and take care.
Mr. Blasquez/ Mr. B, Principal
Mensaje del director
Hola familias Wildcat-
Sr. Blasquez / Sr. B, Director

Eviction Moratorium Resources
Culturally responsive multi-language eviction moratorium resources are now available!
Social media tiles & YouTube videos can be found HERE. Please note: this webpage can only be accessed using this link.
These materials are very timely due to the disproportionate impact that Black, Oregon Tribal Nations, and People of Color communities throughout our state have faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Vulnerable community members face disproportionate risk of losing their homes and the pandemic could sharpen the inequalities low-income families and people of color communities already face.
These materials specifically cover Oregon’s new eviction moratorium in place from December 23, 2020 through June 30, 2021. The protections for renters under the current new statewide moratorium are not automatic. Renters must fill out and sign a sworn declaration of financial hardship and give it to their landlords. For more information, please read Oregon Law Center’s document on the New Statewide Eviction Moratorium. Feel free to use these materials however they are most helpful to get the word out. Oregon Housing and Community Services does not need credit. Please note that our agency does not provide legal advice. For unique inquiries a few partner organizations doing great work in this area include: the Oregon Law Center (https://oregonlawcenter.org/) Legal Aid Services (https://lasoregon.org/) and the Community Alliance of Tenants.
