Weekly Wildcat
November 12, 2021
Dear Sundance Families,
I hope your wildcat had an amazing week at Sundance! Our wildcats enjoyed participating in a popsicle party this week for raising $20,000. Last year, we enjoyed our Pie in the Face event so much that we are committing to doing this again if we can raise $25,000. If you haven't had a chance to contribute, please help us reach our goal! Funds raised go directly back to our students!
Please also note that rather than having an early release on 12/16 we will move our early release to 12/17.
I hope all of you enjoy meeting with your child's teacher during our parent conference week. Students do not need to bring a lunch to school on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday. Our schedule can be found below.
Next Week:
- 11/15: Non-student day
- 11/16: November Dine Out @ Pizza & Brew - 50% of Proceeds go to Sundance PAC!

Counseling Corner With Ms. Park
Hello Families! I've really enjoyed working with your students over the past few months. During conference week, I will not be meeting with students, but if you'd like to meet with me via Zoom to talk about how counseling is going or to learn more about it, please email me at empark@powayusd.com and we can set up a time.
And as you and your family prepare for Thanksgiving, here are some tips in an article I wrote last year about how to teach gratitude to your kids and have conversations about thankfulness.
Foundation/PAC Memo

Night Out Event + Silent Auction - Volunteers Needed!
Next Spring we hope to host a Night Out Event and Silent Auction that will be fun for all and raise money for Sundance! We need an Event Chair or Co-Chairs (volunteer with a friend or neighbor!) to help coordinate fundraising, auction items, and volunteers. Plus, the Foundation team is ready to support with past auction and community outreach examples, contacts, templates, and more — so don’t worry if you aren’t quite sure what to do! If you are interested in helping or have some ideas to support this event, please email stephanies.warner@gmail.com.
Red Envelope Campaign - Popsicle Picnic!
All of our students LOVED the Popsicle Picnic this past Monday to celebrate reaching the $20,000 goal for our Red Envelope Campaign! Are you ready to level up for the Bubble Dance at $30,000? The campaign runs through the end of the year, so it’s not too late to donate or submit your corporate matching!
