Why do we eat?
We eat to maintain our relationship with the sun.
What does Nutrition mean?
Nutrition is the study of how we get the nutrients we need to survive
Where do nutrients come from?
Nutrients get in your body from a long process. The sun gives plants energy. Animals eat the plants and then we it get into our body when we eat meat, or any other type of animal that consumes the plant.
Why do we need nutrients?
Nutrients keep us alive. Without nutrients, we would not be the healthy and strong person we are today.
What are essential nutrients?
Essential nutrients are the nutrients we need to live. Our bodies do not produce them, so we have to eat them in order to get them in our body.

There are six main nutrients our bodies need. They are carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and water.

Macronutrients are protein, fats, and carbohydrates. They are your body's main source of energy.

What happens if you eat more calories than your body uses up during the day?
To many calories can cause a person to be overweight, especially if that person is not active enough to burn those extra calories.

Micronutrients are vitamins, minerals, and water. Micronutrients do not provide the body with energy, but they control the body's functions
What is the most important nutrient for a healthy body?
Water is the most important nutrient. Your body would not be able to go a few days without it.
