“Connections” at BHS

Welcome to the 19-20 school year! Our theme for this school year is “Connections”, and we’re working hard to ensure that every individual in our Raider family feels welcomed, valued, and connected to school in meaningful ways. Beginning with freshmen/new student orientation and our Welcome Back assembly on the first day of school, you’ll see a series of activities within the school day and beyond as we continue our efforts throughout the school year. We welcome your suggestions on ways to help your student feel connected at BHS via email to

Our Open House is next Thursday, September 12, starting at 6 p.m. This evening is an opportunity to “walk in your student’s shoes”, experiencing their classes over a brisk two-hour period. Please bring with your student’s schedule (especially room numbers) through Skyward or the schedule included in the back-to-school mailing and wear comfortable walking shoes as you move throughout the building. We hope you can join us for this important evening.

We are so grateful to our Red Raider PTSA who have already supported our school efforts in a variety of ways this school year, and we encourage you to join this group of dedicated individuals. You can download a membership form from our website or email

It’s going to be a great school year at BHS!
