Thank you Mrs. Oldham and Mrs. Parks
I think our kids enjoyed our character parade, and I know our adults did too! Thanks, Mrs. Parks and Mrs. Oldham for your hard work!
Congratulation Ms. Dowdy
Ms. Dowdy is often the first face some of our students see in the mornings at 7 and the last face they see in the evenings at 6! We appreciate your hard work!
Solid Instruction during Panda Time
Panda Time continues to be an area of focus during walkthroughs. Here are fourth graders from different rooms working on main idea with Ms. Henry.
Instructional Reminders
1. Teachers: We will work with Google this Friday, March 16 to help teach your class a Google AR expedition using their virtual reality glasses.
2. Mrs. Petty and I have visited all of your Panda times blocks in the past two week. Our students have seemed engaged in the work, and everyone is working hard. Keep up the good work! Remember the power of setting goals with your groups, even if they are not "your" kids. They can still bring their data notebooks and you all can work towards a common goal.
3. Consistent Language - In your planning meetings this week, please talk about the academic language you are using with students as you teach the standards. We want to make sure our kids are exposed to the highest academic conversations possible.
4. We will have one more Lock Down Drill in April. Do you have specific questions? Please ask them in our Lock Down Drill Parking Lot. Mrs. Petty and I will respond to you directly. Also, please weigh in. Do you feel as though we should allow parents to walk kids to the classroom in the mornings?

I hope everyone enjoyed their PD sessions on Friday! It was good seeing so many smiles! Thanks to all the PLC facilitators last week! Our meeting on Tuesday will be the only staff meeting for March!!!
