November Events

Native American Heritage Month

There is an abundance of resources to support Native American Heritage Month, including resources in TexQuest and Discovery Education. Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with these resources:

Veterans Day - November 11th

Veterans Day is a national holiday celebrated annually to honor men and women who have served in the United States armed services. You can find a variety of content in the digital resources your district already has access to, including in TexQuest and Discovery Education.

Have students research this holiday using Britannica or Gale in Context in TexQuest. These academic resources are the perfect place for students to learn more about this important day.

You will also want to check out the Veterans Day Channel in Discovery Education. There is also a virtual field trip event, Voices of U.S. - Why We Serve, held on Wednesday, November 10th at noon.

Professional Learning Opportunities

TexQuest Learning Series

For the next several months, we will be providing sessions focused on the various TexQuest resources. Please share these opportunities with anyone on your campus, from teachers to instructional technologists, as we are looking for ways to get TexQuest out of the library. Register today to save your spot.
