Titan Families:
Parent-Teacher Conferences will occur on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. We are hoping you will come and dialogue about the academic progress of your child. In an effort to ensure time for each parent, we are scheduling individual conferences for teachers. We are also offering several ways for students to receive additional academic support.
Titan Time, a 25-minute period held each Thursday during the school day, designed to allow teachers to intervene quickly when students struggle to master a learning target. This time can also be used to provide remediation of standards as well as redos/retakes of assessments.

Cross Country:
7th Annual Titan Classic
The Collins cross country course, which is one of the most picturesque in Central Kentucky, featured hay bales for the high school athletes to clear. Collins Head Coach George Sanderlin said, “Our course is gently rolling with no big hills. So, we placed a line of bales every mile to make it interesting. Our course manager and his crew of parents worked very hard to make this course spectacular.”
Maddie Petty led the Collins girls to a third place team finish as she stayed with the lead pack and finished fourth overall. Lilly Vest (9th), Abigail Jacobs (23rd), and Sarah Evans (24th), and Bianca Saucedo (28th) rounded out the scoring. The Collins girls finished with 81 points. Shelby County who was led by Anna Kiser’s first place finish, won the meet with 61 points. Paul Dunbar was a close second with 63 points. In the girls’ JV race, Ashleigh Howell (4th) and Mary Grace Vest (6th) placed in the top 10 for Collins.
In the boys’ varsity race, Nolan Thomas led the way for the Titans placing fifth. Cole Lyles (18th) and Jeremy Yocum (24th) were the other top 25 finishers for Collins. The Titans placed fifth out of ten in the boys’ race with 114 points. Coach Sanderlin said, “We were fortunate that the weather cooperated. We had a great crowd and the course was superb. Both our boys and girls teams placed as we had projected. We like to focus on steady improvement and almost all of our boys bettered their place finish from last year. So, our progress is good.”
