The Fowler Weekly
June 5 - 9
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Fowler Families,
With only 9 days left in the school year, please ask your student if they are missing any classwork and have them show you what may be missing in Canvas or Synergy gradebooks. There are still a lot of opportunities for students to practice their skills for feedback. At this point in the semester, the grade is not as important as the skills. Even if a grade does not improve, the learning will continue. Eventually I would love to see all of our students motivated by skill growth and not by percentage points.
Be well,
Andy
HAPPENINGS
There are only 2 Affinity Groups meeting this week:
MEChA, Wednesday, June 7, Final Meeting
PIA, Monday, June 5, Final Meeting
All other Affinity Groups, ASAs and Homework have concluded and there will not be ASA Buses.
iPad Information:
6th Graders will have their iPads checked during Science this Friday, June 9. Please be sure that your student has their iPad with them and that it is fully charged.
7th Graders will have their iPads checked during Science this Friday, June 9. Please be sure that your student has their iPad with them and that it is fully charged.
8th Graders will turn in their iPad on Monday, June 12 during their Science class. It is imperative that they bring their iPad, charger (block and cord) and case/keyboard to school that day in order to avoid being charged for the device.

Please have your students check their closet and under their bed, in their backpack, lockers, your car and anywhere else you can think of to get the Fowler Middle School library books turned in!

We still have yearbooks for sale for $30! They are sold on a prepay, first come/first serve basis and they are simple to purchase. They are handed out the last week of school. You may send a check or cash with your student to turn in at the Main Office or you can click here and purchase the yearbook online. PLEASE follow these instructions to be sure your student gets their yearbook:
When paying online you will need your student’s ID number and their legal last name as it appears on their school records (upper and lowercase sensitive).
If you have problems logging in please email smilettivega@ttsd.k12.or.us to have your password reset. PLEASE DO NOT set up a guest account.

As we prepare for the end of the school year, we want to remind you to please pick up any medication that you have signed in for your student at school. Students 15 and older may take their own medications home on their last day of school, but those younger than 15 will need their parents to pick up their medication. Medication will be kept in the office until Friday, June 16. Any medication left at Fowler beyond that date will be discarded per district policy

Reminder for 8th Grade Families: (Thank you to everyone who has already responded!) For those who have not, the deadline is this Tuesday, June 6:
We would like a picture of your student as a younger version of themselves.
There will be a slideshow for the 8th Grade Celebration, and we would like to be able to include both a current photo and a young photo of each student.
If you would like to submit a current picture for us to use other than their school photo, you are welcome to do so. We would prefer not to use “selfies” for the slideshow.
Please send pictures to fowleroffice@ttsd.k12.or.us along with your students full name and/or ID number.
