12:00 – 1:00 Lunch on your own (Plentiful places to eat directly across the street from the Broad Art Museum and on campus at MSU)

1:00 – 1:15 Northpointe Academy – Joe Vercellino – Hip Hop Group: Beasts of the Beat
1:15 – 1:30 West Ottawa – Bre Bartels – iChallengeU – This program is a two-week summer intensive educational opportunity for students to work with master teachers and Ottawa Area corporate, civic, and community leaders to develop solutions to real problems, as posed by corporate/civic/community (CCC) partners.
1:30 – 1:45 DeWitt H.S. – Creative Leadership: Opportunities for Social Innovation class “Mobile Minds … Flipping Society” Students share how the act of unleashing their curiosity and creativity has helped in reshaping their attitude about learning, discovery, and the pursuit of happiness.
1:45 – 2:00 Panel Discussion Featuring Round Two Speakers

2:00 – 2:15 Intro to “Gallery Chats” – Jerry Jennings
2:15 – 2:30 Break and Move to Gallery
2:30 – 3:15 “Gallery Chats” – Breakout Conversations – Student liaisons will escort guests to museum galleries for discussions. Questions to be addressed include:
A) What defines the 21st Century High School Graduate?
B) Everyone is talking about teaching outside-of-the-box, so why are we still in it?
C) How can the Michigan Creativy Group (a like-minded group of teachers, students, businesses, organizations, educational institutions, policy-makers, etc., ...,) work to spread creativity and innovation throughout the state?
3:15 – 3:45 Gallery Chat Recap and Open Mic

The Michigan Creativity Group and Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at MSU believes education is everyone's business, so why not include everyone? By working together and sharing stories we can all continue to create positive changes in education. The MCG and Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at MSU wants to bring people together to support and inspire one another to amplify and speed up the creativity and innovation movement in Michigan.
Special Note: The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at MSU respectfully requests that Michigan Creative Educators Summit attendees do not bring backpacks with them on Thursday, May 1, 2014.
