Principal's Message - Mrs. Christian

Dear Garcia Families,

I hope this finds you all warm and well considering the cold days we experienced in February! It has been a busy month of learning and activities for our students.

On the 18th, we enjoyed an awesome Black History Celebration where we were able to have the entire school together in an assembly. This is the first time we have all been able to meet together, and it was wonderful to have all of our Gators in one place. The students did a fabulous job of being respectful audience members throughout the assembly, as well as throughout the Awards Ceremony after. I love being able to take time to recognize our students for their hard work and determination. It was a great morning!

This month will hopefully brings some warmer temperatures. We are all looking forward to Spring Break, but we know we also have a lot of learning to do before it arrives!

Please be sure to notice the dates below, as we have several activities coming up this spring. One IMPORTANT CHANGE: MATH SCIENCE NIGHT HAS MOVED TO APRIL 12th. We made the move due to many unforeseen situations, such as ice and illness these last two months. This will be in conjunction with a 4th/5th grade Music Concert, so it will be a fun night for all. Also, mark your calendars for May 7th, as this will be a TISD Spring Carnival hosted by Jefferson Elementary, but all Gators are invited. More information will be coming soon on that event.

Thank you for sharing your precious children with us. They are the reason we are here!

Courtney Christian

Blessed Principal
