Summer CS Opportunities

We Teach CS Summit- June 7-9

Location: Austin, TX

UT-Austin Pickle Research Campus

The WeTeach_CS Summit offers a variety of sessions and resources for K-12 teachers. The format will include a student expo, vendor exhibits, special guest speakers, as well as general and breakout sessions.

Lodging and mileage will be reimbursed by the TRC. Arlington ISD will pay for registration and meals.


Please register and make hotel reservations with a roommate. Let me know if you are planning to attend so maybe we can coordinate a little bit.

Beauty and Joy of Computing (AP CSP)- June & July

University of North Texas’ new Frisco site, 2811 Internet Blvd. or online


Two weeks of “face-to-face” meetings separated by 4 weeks during which attendees can receive online support to sharpen their programming skills in SNAP, the language of choice for BJC. The “face-to-face” weeks will include participants at the Frisco site and other participants attending using synchronous online capability.


We plan two face-to-face weeks, June 20 - 24 and July 25 – 29


This workshop is free to attend. If you decide to drive to Frisco, AISD will pay for mileage.
