The Little Viking Newsletter
September and October 2015
I encourage you to get involved with our school and participate in your child's education as much as possible. We invite you to sign up to volunteer in your child's classroom or join us for lunch whenever possible. The children love having you visit our school.
We also have a few new faces at Tri-Valley Elementary this year, please welcome these new staff members to the TVES family: Lauren Burger (kindergarten), Leesa Sanidas (special education from MS), Jodi Hospelhorn (special education from MS), Chelsea Stark (Little Viking Care lead teacher), Jodi Vedra (Little Viking Care aide), and Mandy Bane (Little Viking Care aide). I am very excited to have these educators join our family! We have a terrific group of professionals teaching our students. I commend them for their commitment to providing the best learning environment for our students.
I am looking forward to a great year at Tri-Valley Elementary. Together we can make this a wonderful year for the children!
Updates and Reminders
Lunch prices: hot lunch is $2.46 for students and $3.25 for adults. Please contact the office by 9:00 if you are planning to join eat a school lunch with us!
Please be sure your child is dresses appropriately for school. This includes no spaghetti straps or halter-tops. If you child is in violation of the dress code, we will try and contact a parent or guardian to bring a change of clothes. If we cannot reach you, we will supply your child with a shirt for the day.
If your child arrives to school after 8:10, a parent or guardian will need to come into school and sign the child into school.
When sending in lunch money by check, please be sure your child's first and last name is on the check.
Any parent or legal guardian picking up students before regular dismissal must stop by the office and "SIGN OUT" the student.
After school arrangements for students/bus changes: If there is a change in regular dismissal routine, please send a written note to school for all after school departure changes. This will help your child avoid confusion at dismissal time. If we do not have a note, your child will go home in the usual manner.
We are in need of clothing donations for both boys and girls in sizes 5-8. We especially need t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants (no jeans), and socks. We have numerous kids who have accidents either in the cafeteria or on the playground.
