CARRIEL READING MARATHON CHALLENGE! FEB 21-MAY21

SIGN UP FOR A "MARATHON" OR "ULTRA MARATHON"

Sponsored by the Carriel PTO; READ, RIGHT & RUN was created to promote reading-proficient, community-minded and physically-fit students. Marathon participants are

challenged to read 2,600 pages, perform 26 good deeds and run 26 miles (or equivalent physical activity) over a three-month period. Ultra marathoners will read 50 books (at least 150 pages each), perform 31 good deeds and 31 "miles" Participants receive a log recording their reading, deeds and activities. When completed, participants names are entered into drawings for prizes. Any Carriel student is eligible to participate. Prize drawings will take place during the last school assembly.

WHAT TO DO

Choose to be a "Marathoner" or "Ultra-Marathoner". Get a reading, good deed and running log from Ms. Davies-Smith in the Carriel library BEFORE FEBRUARY 21. Keep track of all your reading, deeds and activities. Have your parents sign the form and turn in to Ms. Davies-Smith ON OR BEFORE MAY 21. Examples of good deeds and miles are provided on the log.
