Ms. Rodriguez Weekly News!
It was a pleasure to see so many of you at Open House last week. I would want to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to meet with me. I am looking forward to working together in ensuring a very successful year for the students.
We have already began so many fun projects that are enhancing the learning of the students. In Social Studies, we were learning about road signs. I'm sure you have already heard about them knowing caution, yield, stop, and one-way signs while driving or walking home. In Math, we are learning how to count from one to ten. We actually did a fun activity by counting fruits, animals, and read a book called "How do dinosaurs count to ten?". For Language Arts, we have been learning the letter "B". We are writing, recognizing, and naming the upper case letter "B". We actually went around the classroom to find out how many words began with the uppercase letter "B". For Science, our focus this week is learning about the butterfly cycle. We are identifying, naming, and locating the four stages of the butterfly cycle.
I have asked the boys and girls to create their own life cycle at home that contains either pictures or drawings of themselves to bring to school on Friday. We are going to do a show and tell during circle time to see all the different life cycles they created. If you could help your child with this activity, it would be greatly appreciated.
Have a wonderful week!
