Random Access Memory + Read Only Memory

RAM - Random Access Memory

RAM is a form of computer storage. The more you have (can be in sizes from 512MB to 64 GB) the faster your computer will complete actions. When the computer is powered off, all the memory in the RAM is cleared.

ROM - Read Only Memory

ROM cannot be easily changed or reprogrammed. ROM holds permanent commands, instructions and data for the computer and they stay there even if the computer is powered off. ROM stores the program required to initally boot the computer.
