Magnifier

What is the Magnifier?

Using the magnifier allows the computer user to make a portion or all of the screen larger. This make reading the text, seeing images and using the computer easier. On the PC, students can use three different types of magnifier:


1. Full screen Mode - this mode allows users to magnify the entire computer and everything on the computer.


2. Lens Mode - this mode allows users to magnify a small portion of the screen using the mouse.


3. Docked Mode - this mode allows users to magnify a small portion of the screen, while leaving the rest of the computer screen normal.

How this technology can be used in the Classroom?

The magnifier technology for the PC can be used in mulitple ways. First, this technology can make it easier for students with visual impairments to use the computer and complete assignments. In addition, by magnifying items on the computer screen, it can allow students to focus on one item at a time.

How to Access this Technology

1. Go to the Start Menu


2. Click on All Programs


3. Click Accessories


4. Click on Ease of Access


5. Click Magnifier
