This program is open to all families residing within one of the twenty (20) Kent ISD school districts. Students are eligible for the Kent ISD Choice Plan, regardless of grade level, ethnic background or student ability. The only limits on movement between school districts are the number of spaces available in each district or the student's suspension or expulsion record.
The Schools of Choice application period will open April 10 and run through May 12, 2023. Watch our social media for reminders and check our website for details at nvps.net/ schools-of-choice. If you have questions, contact Central Enrollment at enroll@nvps.net.
3rd & 4th Grade Concert Information
Concert Information!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Our concert date is approaching soon! Tuesday, March 28, 6:30 p.m. at the High School Performing Arts Center all 3-4th graders will perform. Our theme is celebration of our school year. Students are asked to wear nice school clothes, please avoid jeans and tee shirts if possible. Generally, solid colors are better looking on stage. Students must abide by dress code for the concert. Students should arrive at 6:15 and report to line-up area, third graders on the left side of the auditorium in the hall, fourth graders to the right outside the Choir Room. We are not available to supervise students before 6:15. Please be sure your student is in shoes or sandals with a strap around the ankle - flip flops are dangerous on risers and are not good concert wear.
Please email me at: knagy@nvps.net if you have additional questions.

Author Visit at North Oakview: Aaron Zenz
Author/Illustrator Aaron Zenz recently visited North Oakview DK, Kindergarten and 1st grade students. He shared his process for making his book The Hiccupotamus, showed them how to draw the Hiccupotamus, answered student questions, signed books and even introdcued everyone to Opie, the hiccuping puppet who spilled water all over Mr. Zenz! The library was filled with laughter and joy, all around books, reading and creativity, throughout his presentations. Many thanks to the North Oakview PTC for funding this incredible experience for our readers!
